Because of some of the problems that students are having, I have altered some of the info that was previously here. I have increased the time limit to the end of Thursday, March 15th. the test time length should now be 3 hrs, if needed. The amount of attempts have been increased to 4. As mentioned in class, the test derives from the entire word chapter in the book. You should make yourself familiar with the concepts of the book although most of these have been covered in class. In going over the grading, I think I will make some changes. Try either the scenario 1 or scenario II or both. Previously we had saifd that we would weight 40% per each. I think what we will do is weight 80% against the best(max) of either. Below, just in case you are confused, is the way to get to your tests.

Previous message as to the word tests. To both classes: your two skill tests are up on MYITLAb as far as I know. If, not, please contact me. About these tests. This should be geared to your book so you might want to read (or reread) the Word chapters. I have given you 2 hours for each one of these and in essence these are the same tests except working on different documents. Please remember my advice: Any problems that you are not sure of, write down, restudy and then you are ready for the next try. You are allowed 3 attempts for each - make sure you have broadband support - and the test closes at 11:55 PM on Saturday, March 10. The grading scheme will be 20% of the multiple choice quiz added to 40% of each of these test scores to get a composite score for Word.

For this term, Spring 2012, the MYITLAB site is using CRSABRL-841085 as the assigned course for these classes. This is what you should use as you register. At the moment, nothing has been set, I hope to have this set for you as of week end.

As to files: There is a CD that comes with your book. The CD contains the files you need to work the problems in the book. if you are at the school, you can see these files on what is q-shared drive. This is the school network.

Click Computer technologies and one of the folders will contain these 103 student files. However, I have saved these files on this web site. Click the button to see a list.

Students of the two classes in progress at the moment are required to take the excel test on Apr 30 or May 1. We think there are enough seats that you can take whichever day you choose. The tests have been written: They consist of 3 excel spreadsheet problems. You can, if you want, see and try previous tests by clicking here.
